Neptune variscite is a more rare variscite that is mined in Nevada, just about a quarter mile from the Poseidon variscite mine. All these mines create some of the best quality variscite in the world. I just love the softer black matrix and the green in this stone! As always, it’s much prettier in person. I decided to accent the black matrix in the variscite stone with a small, 4mm rose cut black spinel and I made this a double silver layer ring for added interest.

The gems I use in my jewelry are ethically sourced. No two are exactly alike! In addition to these variations, inclusions and irregularities are not flaws but rather a reflection of nature’s beauty. I use recycled fine silver and recycled sterling silver whenever possible.

This piece has been hand forged by me in my little studio. All metal used on this piece is fine and solid 925 sterling silver that has been heavily oxidized.
