This is one of my favorite turquoise’s and it’s a somewhat new find. This is iron maiden turquoise of the highest quality. When I was first setting the stone, I snapped it in half! I was sick about it. The cutter I bought it from graciously offered to fix it using the Japanese method of kintsugi. That is the method where gold is used to fill and repair cracks, usually in pottery. She did an amazing job! So the lower tip of the stone, where the matrix crosses the entire stone, is filled with gold! As always, it’s much prettier in person. The small accent stone is rare carico lake turquoise and I thought they matched perfectly. I have been wanting to create a winter collection using these cedar fronds but haven’t had the time yet. These are silver castings of real cedar fronds! I fanned it out and set the stone at an angle so the cedar would fan over your next finger.

This piece has been hand forged by me in my little studio. All metal used on this piece is fine silver and sterling silver. I use recycled fine silver and recycled sterling silver whenever possible.
