Confetti Chrysocolla Copper & Silver Ring
Confetti Chrysocolla Copper & Silver Ring
Oh this confetti chrysocolla! I saw this at the Denver gem and mineral show and when I noticed the copper in this stone, I just had to have it for a fall piece. I decided to mix my metals, copper and silver, to accent the copper in the stone. This is a first for me and it was fun! I do love the end result, too. This confetti chrysocolla is also sometimes called sugar water flower agate. It was found on a small island in Indonesia. Almost as quickly as it was discovered, it was gone. So whatever is out there, is all there is!
I decorated the silver for the backplate but it's difficult to see the design since I didn't add patina. It will start to show as you wear the ring and natural patina is added. I tied the band to the setting by adding a copper fidget sequin.
This is a wider ring band, which is so comfortable to wear. It measures a 9.75 US on my mandrel but will fit a bit smaller due to the width of the band. It will fit a size 8.75 to 9.25 finger. Please contact me if you have any questions about the sizing!
I take great pride in my curated stone collection. The gems I use in my jewelry are ethically sourced. No two are exactly alike! In addition to these variations, inclusions and irregularities are not flaws but rather a reflection of nature’s beauty.
This piece has been hand forged by me in my little studio using methods that have been around for hundreds of years. All metal used on this piece is fine and solid 925 sterling silver, as well as copper. I use recycled silver whenever possible.
This ring will arrive beautifully gift wrapped.
